Trying to look "chill" but 100% anxious.
This was the scariest hike ever. It was SO packed (because it was thanksgiving day and yeah, don't you and your family always do a 6 hour hike for thanksgiving?) I still have no idea why Thanksgiving is one of the busiest days for this park. We hiked about 4 miles to the "top" which was basically the base of an accent which was a narrow and windy trail that lead to the tip of "angels landing". This last part, which was only 1.5 miles took almost twice as long as the initial 4 miles. I can't really explain how your body feels when you're narrowly escaping death for 2.5 hours straight. All I can say, is that when it's over, you feel like you just saved planet earth in some heroic tale that has finally come to its blissful ending. |
